Our friends at TJM have become very much an extended family for many of us. Our Caring Connection was established to allow us to take care of one another. Members who choose to become part of the connection visit sick or housebound members at home or the hospital, run errands like shopping or picking up prescriptions, offering rides to worship or temple events, medical tests or medical appointments, and generally supporting those in need. We make phone calls to members who are ill or have lost a loved one. We are trained by the Bikkur Cholim professionals of Jewish Family Services so we are aware of what we are doing and what services are available to help people in need. In the words of the Talmudic rabbis: All Jews are responsible for one another. It is through the Caring Connection that we help and support one another.
